Death

• Death is a subject that some not want to go near as it just won’t happen to us yet
  
  
• But Death does come to us all
  
  
• Death can also come at any time
  
  
• But Death is not an end in itself
  
  
• It is therefore important to die well-with a calm mind and a peaceful heart

• Death is certain
  
  
• Time of Death is uncertain
  
  
• Nothing helps at time of Death except Dharma

Reflection on Death

Let us together do a reflection with a short recitation

Let us all, as Buddhist, understand death,
That life is impermanent
That there is no permanent self or soul
And to take this opportunity to reflect on the teaching of the Buddha
And to take refuge in the Triple Gems
And to take refuge in the four noble truth

Let us all resolved
To tread the noble eight fold path
To understand the four noble truth
And to make an end to rebirth and suffering

And further resolved
To practice generosity
Keep the five precepts
And undertake the practice of mindfulness
And insight meditation
To uproot mental defilement
To have the welfare of all beings at heart
And a sincere wish that all beings
Acquire penetrative Insight Wisdom
May all beings be well and happy.
